An energy-intensive industrial site
Its 12,000 m² factory operates continuously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with a high degree of automation. As a result, JM Polymers' electricity consumption is significant, around 9.9 GWh per year in 2022.
Rising electricity prices threaten its competitiveness
In 2022, as was the case for all economic players in Europe, JM Polymers experienced a sharp rise in electricity prices, a rise that was set to continue in 2023. Without corrective action, JM Polymers' electricity bill would have doubled within a year.
Choosing Qualisteo to measure and manage consumption
Before modifying its production processes, JM Polymers first needed to understand its energy usage.
The company chose Qualisteo for the following reasons:
- The Wattseeker software provides near real-time consumption monitoring, with a simple and ergonomic interface and strong visual management;
- Qualisteo offers comprehensive support, including data interpretation and recommendations for corrective actions.
The result: €100,000 in savings on the bill
Thanks to the data and recommendations provided by Qualisteo, JM Polymers carried out a number of corrective actions. A significant portion of these investments was financed by the Energy Savings Certificate (CEE).
JM Polymers reduced its electricity consumption by 5%, representing nearly €100,000 over a period of one and a half years.
