GEEMS: Smart meter for global energy management
This project aims to accelerate the international development of Qualisteo.

The overall objective is to adapt the innovative technological research project for designing a smart meter to international markets.
What is the GEEMS project?
The GEEMS project (Global Energy Efficiency Measurement System) aimed to fund an industrial research project in order to strengthen the company's competitive positioning on international markets.
The GEEMS project enabled Qualisteo to remove the technological barriers related to electrical signal processing in many countries. The new features implemented in the measurement unit allow it to be installed in any country in the world, without technical constraints.
Accelerating international development
Qualisteo is working to transform the measurement market into a service market, and to enhance the relevance of raw measurement data through data valorisation services.
The technology relies on the generation of valued data to offer companies profitable energy performance services in the very short term.
In the specific French context in terms of electricity prices, Qualisteo's objective is to strongly commit to international markets, where electricity is more expensive, by expanding into major industrial territories such as North America, Asia, and emerging countries.
In order to achieve this international development objective, the company faced a dual challenge: the multiplicity of global standards for electricity, as well as the obligation for electrical devices in the broad sense to comply with different international and national safety standards depending on the country. Qualisteo therefore naturally turned to the European Union through the ERDF fund and the Region, in order to finance the GEEMS project.
This project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union.
